Grants & Funding
Throughout Islamic history, endowments known as Waqf (singular) or Awqaaf (plural) have played a crucial role in building and sustaining Muslim societies. Some of the greatest Muslim intellects were the products of the support that came from a community-supported Waqf. House of Wisdom seeks to revive the legacy of Awqaaf through its Research Grants Program. We envision an elaborate research endowment that will allow for academic research and intellectual endeavors that will further the cause of Islam for decades to come.
In 2023, we will be distributing a collective sum of $50,000 in the form of Research Grants to selected fellowship applicants. Each recipient can receive up to $5,000 over a period of 1-year to accomplish the intended goals.
